Pacifics announce free ticket program for Marin County school children

San Rafael, Callif. – In an effort to promote community spirit, family-oriented entertainment and the game of baseball to Marin County youth, the San Rafael Pacifics have partnered with the Marin County Office of Education to introduce the Pacifics “Kids Get in Free” Program in partnership with Bradley Real Estate. Every Marin County Public School student in grades K-8 will be given a free general admission ticket good for any 2018 Pacifics game, excluding Opening Day and, as well, all kids under 12 will get in free for each Tuesday home game.

“This partnership is a wonderful opportunity for our students to experience the excitement of attending a local professional baseball game,” said Marin County Superintendent of Schools Mary Jane Burke. “Our community is fortunate to have a partner in the San Rafael Pacifics Baseball Club and we look forward to future opportunities to inspire and engage our students in sports.

Since their inception in 2012, the Pacifics have been dedicated to community service and, through its Pacifics Community Fund, creating connections with Marin County youth through its camps and clinics program, “K’s for Kids” (providing underserved kids with free lessons and baseball equipment) and other kids-related programs.

With this new program, the Pacifics ensure that every public school student in Marin County has a chance to come out to a Pacifics game for free.

“The Pacifics, along with our great partners from Bradley Real Estate, created this program to give a free ticket to every kid in Marin County’s public schools as a means to give a gift to our great community and so the kids can come out to any game they choose to have some fun with us,” said Pacifics President and General Manager Mike Shapiro. “And, by the way, they’ll get a chance to see some pretty good baseball at the same time.”

The Pacifics open their 2018 season at Albert Park against Napa, the newest member of the Pacific Association, on June 2nd at 7. For season tickets, flex tickets, and Pacifics merchandise,
